| Food And Drink : Spices Basil is one of the most frequently used spices and you will almost certainly have either used it yourself or tasted it frequently. Sometimes used as a garnish, it has a mild, slightly sweet flavour. It works weill in a whole host of dishes, from those vegetable based dishes through to beef, lamb and benison too. Top off some scrambled eggs with a little basil for the perfect finish.
