Hairdresser
Jobs : Job Profiles Many may not think of being a hairdresser as a lucrative job, but they'd be wrong. Many local hairdressers become essential to the community they are in, develop a steady stream of loyal clients, and make a nice profit. We are more likely to change our bank account that from one barber to another, as when we find someone we like we tend to stay. To be a good hairdresser you tend to train on the job as an apprentice. You need to be a good listener, with an excellent ability to make small talk, and put clients at each. Promptness and a pleasant demeanour are a must. Of course you need the technical skills too which you tend to learn on an apprenticeship - ask at local hairdressers; there are also courses you can go on to learn the basics. You need to be able to find out clearly from the client what they want before you make the cut, of course. If you love people and fashion then this could be the perfect job for you.
