Tomatoes
Listen up people. By just eating two – tablespoons of tomato paste a day, you can lower LDL cholesterol by up to 23 %.

Cooked tomatoes are better for you. Yes, you heard right. A serving of cooked tomatoes a day can reduce your risk of heart attack, and heart disease by 30 %.
The lycopene in tomatoes that gives them their color, can lower the risk of certain cancers. Including breast, and cervical cancer.
Lycopene’s antioxidant shield against free radicals extends to brain cells, possibly preventing cell damage that eventually leads to memory loss.
When you eat tomatoes cooked, the heat breaks down the cell walls, and makes the lycopene more available to the body. The longer they cook, the better.
Watermellon and pink grape fruit are also good lycopene foods.
A variety is always nice.

Mushrooms.
The Chinese have believed for years that the mushroom is the answer to longevity.
They have used the Shiitake for medical purposes for thousands of years. They contain letinan that boosts the immune system, charging up the body’s ability to fight off colds and flu. Letinan has also been credited with powerful cancer protective properties. It seems to seek out cancerous cells, tumors, and killing them.
Other nutritious mushrooms , are the reishi, maitake,and cordyceps.
