Here are some tips for healthy breakfasts to keep you energised from the word go.

Apple Oatmeal is a brilliant nutricious meal. Make it yourself at home with 1 part rolled oats to 2 parts liquid. Boil the oats in the liquid for around 5 minutes, until soft, then its ready to eat.

You can add other things into it to make it tastier. Use unsweetened apple sauce with some raisins, cinnamon and nutmeg.

If you prefer, you can use dried cranberries, mashed banana or jams.

Egg Burrito for breakfast is amazing. Its a whole wheat tortilla wrap with low fat sour cream inside. The filling inside includes 2 scrambled eggs, one with the yolk separated and discarded. A few tablespoons of salsa aswell.

Smoothies can be healthy - blend some fruit in a mixer until smooth and drink. You can use anything, go for berries and bananas. Then another good one is orange and mango. You can use carrots and other vegetables aswell. Add low fat yoghurt for a better base.

Yoghurt Parfait - combine yoghurt, fruit and granola. Stick to low fat yoghurt. Maybe add layers of cinnamon granola, strawberry yogurt and fresh raspberries or apple pieces.
