One common problem for people is that they don't have enough protein in their diet.

The problem here is that the body uses protein to actually help to burn fat in the body (the story is more complicated than that, but that's a reasonable bottom line!)

Therefore be sure that you have enough protein in your diet; aim for at least 30 grams of protein a day as the minimum as if you go under that figure then you aren't getting as much protein as you should.
