How To Help Your Cat Diet

Pets : Cats

Sometimes cats will become overweight, either in your care or before they reach you. If this is the case and you believe the cat is overweight, then before you put on a diet talk to your vet for advice.

This means you should get some general advice and a benchmark or target weight for the cat to reach.

The good news is that there are cat foods out there now in the larger stores that are effectively cat diet foods, as odd as that may sound, which are made in such a way as to aid weight reduction.

Also recognise that the dry food you use should be lower fat and higher fibre than perhaps you were using before.

Another key tip is to ensure that your cat is getting enough exercise. Whilst by nature cats love to play, if you don't have the time to spend playing with your cat then it might prefer to be lazy.

Therefore, ensure that you make time a couple of times a day to play with your cat and help encourage him or her to encourage. Having plenty of toys for it to play with will also keep it active.
