Holiday Disasters To Avoid

Travel : Travel Tips

Not double checking that your insurance covers all your activities you expect to do on your holiday can be a massive mistake. If an accident happens you wont be covered and will have to end up paying hefty hospital bills.

Remember to check the small print and all the terms and conditions of your insurance as well especially due to all the recent travel company strikes and volcanic eruptions.

Get an EHIC card if you are travelling within the EU so that you are entitled to free emergency health care. This is in addition to health insurance as it may not cover all the fees.

Take several methods of payment with you in case one of your cards dont work or it gets stolen. Take enough cash and travellers cheques too.

Don't skin vaccinations needed in exotic countries otherwise you may become seriously ill.

Dont leave important documents at home, such as your flight tickets, flight and hotel details, passport and driving license.

Take a photocopy of your passport and take it with you in a separate bag in case one gets stolen or lost. That way you can get it back quicker if something does happen to it.
