There are lots of bizarre ideas out there for how to keep slim.

A lot of people talk about drinking a glass of hot water with a little lemon in it as a way of keeping slim.

Is there any truth in this and how would it work? Well that is not clear, unless that is had between meals instead of a snack and suppresses you wanting something calorific inbetween meals.

It might be worth a go you never know, though I'm not quite sure how that alone can stop you feeling hungry as some seem to say.

One of the best ways to reduce appetite is to eat what are called superfats at each meal, these are ones that stimulate a chemical in the body that reduces your appetite, and the classic suggestion is to have some almonds, hazelnuts or walnuts as the snack at the end of the meal.

There are a range of other so called super-fat containing foods too, and that even includes dark chocolate which has to be good news, and also olives, avocado, rapeseed, canola, olive oil or flaxseed.
