How To House Train A Rabbit

Pets : Other Pets

Rabbits are becoming more popular as a house pet and, therefore, it is highly desirable that your rabbit should be house trained. Luckily this is a fairly easy task.

Rabbits, even in the wild, naturally use the same area as their lavatory each time they go. You just need to find where they want to do their business and put the litter tray there!

It is likely that your rabbit will want to go to the loo somewhere that it feels secure, so try placing the litter tray in the corner or a room or under a table or other piece of furniture.

Try putting some of your rabbit's pellets or soiled bedding in the litter tray at first to encourage it.

The best type of litter to use is a wood based cat litter as this will not harm your rabbit if it decides to eat some of it.
