How Did I Manage My Boss This Year?

We all know many people and employees who are great at talking the talk though when it comes to hard delivery they are quite light. Performance plans are no obstacle as they either talk their way through them or talk their way into having much more reasonable targets than others. So, how did you manage your boss? Did you keep on top of the workload they gave you? Did they respect you, and you then, and work to do what they told you as best as you could whilst not being a pushover for them?
