The dream is that you put it live on your site and within a week people are buying a couple of copies every day, making you a few thousand dollars over the course of the year. The reality is that getting decent sales of ebooks online is very hard indeed. Therefore what you should think about instead is having an ebook for free that will rather get you lots of traffic to your site and raise awareness and get sales indirectly, rather than selling it. The pity of many ebooks is they are excellent and lots of effort goes into them, but only one or two ever buy it to read the information within!
