| Relationships : Dating Advice If you are going on a date, then make sure that you dress for the occasion. But also try and dress fairly smart. Safe options to wear include smart jeans, khakis or the like. Try to wear a shirt that is fairly plain - no great fashion statement with whacky shirts on the first date please! To look your best, wear mens dress shirts for all occasions. If you have a nice body, then you could consider showing it off by wearing something suitably tight fit! If you are going to a posh restaurant, then whilst wearing a tie would be going overboard, definitely do wear a proper shirt (as in a work shirt / dress shirt) with a collar on it, and some decent trousers (probably not jeans).
