How To Impress At A Job Interview

Jobs : Job Search

One of the best ways to impress is to show that you have done your research into the company.

If these questions don't formally come up, e.g. 'what was the most recent of us you saw in the press and what did you think?' then be sure to drop in yourself.

Typical: if you phoned and spoke to someone about the company then drop in casually 'yes when I spoke to x, she mentioned that your company places great emphasis on personal development' (that's always a safe one too as all companies say they do this).

Next up also check out the website before you go for the interview and again drop in a few things of interest that you found out from there (the PR section is often a good place to go for info particularly with a large company as they will usually try to intercept student business project enquiries with FAQs or similar there).

If you do all this then they will get the impression that you have put time and effort into your job hunt rather than applied scatter gun and this puts you in a good position.
