Note that there is a big and important difference between this and being arrogant and exaggerating your achievements. If you don't have full belief in yourself and your abilities it will be hard to convince other people that you have the skills that they are after. The interview is effectively a sales meeting where you are selling yourself and your skills to the potential employer, and therefore is no time for modesty. If you go to an interview and worry about other people there then you can put yourself off and get negative thoughts coming into your head. Rather be positive and think and know you can do the job and this should come out in the interview.
