How To Impress Your Physics Teacher

Education : Physics

If you want to impress your physics teacher, why not strike up a conversation as to whether time travel is possible or not, and then debate their views with them on the grounds of logic.

Or perhaps question whether the Big Bang theory can really hold forth in the future or whether it is false.

For instance, why when we look back in time do we see galaxies and star systems which seem to be as old as ours when really the light should all be of fledgling galaxies?

And are things like dark matter and dark energy little more than cover up patches to hold the theory together as the evidence is not matched by what's predicted by the big bang theory.

Even ask what explanatory value the theory has at all - it doesn't explain what banged, why it banged, or where what banged came from. Is there a whole pre-bang physics waiting to be investigated, and if so could the nature of such a system ever be known?
