How To Improve Landscape Pictures

Hobbies : Photography

This is an age-old trick used to compose a great landscape photo, or indeed any panorama. And that is to capture people in the distance, or a tree in a landscape, to add perspective.

When dealing with large open spaces on camera, it can be hard to get a sense of size, scope and perspective. By including a familiar object in the scene that the brain can use to work out the size of a scene, you add to its power.

Typical example: you will often see on a stunning panorama shot a couple of small figures in shadow somewhere to add a sense of scale and perspective.
