How To Improve Your Tennis Serve

Sport : Tennis

Improve your serve in tennis: practice your throw-up. Most problems with the serve at amateur level come with a poor throw up. Remove the racket and practice throwing up straight. Then when you have the racket, only hit balls with a straight toss.

And make sure you hit the ball at the top of your reach, with the arm perfectly straight. Good service results!

More tennis advice

Start small. The number one biggest factor in your serve is your toss. If you don't have a toss, - well, you suck. Your toss should ideally land by your left toe (right if you're a lefty).

Once you have conquered this, I mean truely conquered - move on to your grip. Your index finger should be lined up with the third groove on your handle - yes it feels weird but you'll gain incredible angles with this! Next, your knee bend - it sounds weird but it changes everything.

As you reach up to hit your serve (yes, at its highest point), unbend your knees and the power will be amazing. Need more advice? Write to icecoldkisses@Hotmail.com
