The more pictures you take, the greater the chances that you will get an excellent shot of a subject, sometimes even by accident rather than by pure design. However if you only take one or two shots, then you are pinning all your hopes on a very limited number of pictures. Therefore don't be frugal when shooting - take several photos in order that you can be sure to get something that captures the essence of the subject.
