Yes it is true -

With any animal you should treat it with respect no matter what it looks like. Just like a person it can't help what it looks like.

But the dog won't realise why you are laughing at it of course but the important thing is to treat animals well so that they don't get behavioural problems which can get both them and the owner in trouble.

Look after your pets and you will get love back.
