How To Keep Plants Healthy While On Holiday

Gardening : Growing Plants

When i went on holiday recently i had no-one to water my house plants, so i tried something and hoped they survived. Iwas away for 3 weeks and all my plants survived, heres how!

Get a 2 litre pop bottle, pierce a hole at the top and the bottom. Fill it with water and replace the lid.

Bury the lid end of the bottle in the soil so the pierced hole is just below the surface. Now cover the whole plant with cling film.

While you are away the bottle slowly empties and the cling film collects moisture for additional watering, your plants will be as healthy as when you left.
