Keep Your Navel Piercing Clean

Beauty : Beauty Tips

Make sure that you go to a place where the person is clean, licensed, uses sterile equipment, and is very clear about all the possible problems a person may encounter.
Do not use Bactine, no matter what people say (even if they have their belly buttons pierced). Anti-bacterial lotions like Purel are just good for you when you are touching your piercing (just be cautious of where you touch).
Anti-bacterial soap is one of the true healers. Every morning after showering with your regular soap, soap your belly button to make sure you kill all the germs. Allow the soap to sit there for a while and then thoroughly rinse it out.
Buy a spray called H20cean (you can get this from the piercer). This is for the "sea salt baths" which actually really help the healing process along.
Take vitamin C supplements or drink orange juice, because your body usually lacks that vitamin and it is necessary for healing any type of wounds.
Make sure every time you clean it to squeeze out pus in the middle and wipe with a clean cotton ball (oh buy a bag of cotton balls or q-tips)!
Good luck and love how beautiful your piercing is.
