How To Layout The Top Of A Press Release
| Business : PR Customs vary for different documents. On a CV for instance it is considered a faux pas to write 'CV' or 'curriculum vitae' at the top as it is obvious what it is. Not so with a press release. Indeed, at the very top you should write something like PRESS RELEASE or NEWS RELEASE. The reason for this is that it is now clear to everyone what it is and the function of it, so that if it gets through to any intended location it stands a better chance of getting passed onto the right person in the organisation. You should underneath this have some useful information, just the date from which it can be published is a good idea, or for immediate use.
