Looking Back On Your Gap Year

Travel : Gap Years

When you finish your gap year or the main element of it, such as travel, it can really pay to do a little reflecting.

Ask yourself what it was that you liked about the gap year experience, what did you get out of it, and what were the bad or harder points too.

Such reflection can help you work out what you want to do with your life long term. Perhaps you developed some skills that surprised you or enjoyed something you weren't expecting too - or perhaps the bit you thought would be easy was actually a lot harder than you expected.

By reflecting and thinking through and noting what you learnt it can help with university and career plans, so is well worth spending a few hours reflecting, taking notes, and ultimately learning about yourself and what you want to do with your life long term.
