Lack of preparation is an important factor, as many people are tempted to just rush into the test, as they want to pass as quickly as possible, and without spending so much on lessons. Its vital you take enough lessons so you should be confident and hopefully pass first time. Choose a decent instructor.

Nerves can cause some people to fail as well, so make sure you arrive on time to your test, be prepared and bring some calming aromatherapy oils to relax you if needed.

Observation is very important as this is a key factor to safe driving, so remember this at all times.

Poor control of the car, including indicators, is another major failing factor, so make sure you’re in control of the car, you know what you’re doing and you follow the procedures correctly and in order.

People fail on manoeuvres due to poor observation and accuracy, or a lack of good control. Reserve parking tends to be the hardest to master, so read up all the info before your test starts.
