How To Make Lemon Icing
Food And Drink : Desserts Sometimes with cakes the icing is the best bit. Particularly with a fundamentally plain cake, the icing can really add and lift the flavour. Here's how to make a really strong lemon icing for a cake. Get 1/4 of a cup of butter, and add to that a cup of icing sugar. Mix these together, then add in a teaspoon of vanilla extract. Then get a whole lemon, and squeeze all the juice into the mixture - now blend together until the icing has the smooth consistency that you want it to have, then simply add to the cake or biscuits: and there you go, a really strong, fresh, zingy lemon icing: lovely!
