Make Up Tips For Asians

Beauty : Cosmetics

Go for yellow-based foundation, preferably from a Japanese company. A soft orange/rose blush works best and looks the most natural. Then pick lipgloss/lipstick in a similar shade.

Avoid any pink or red eyeliner, eyeshadow or eyeshimmer. Asians tend to have eye sockets that are either flat or bulge out (unlike their caucasian counterparts whose eyesockets create a depression in their face) so any pink or red around the eye can make it look puffy.

Contrary to intuition, the best colour of eyeshadow for an asian is green. Even though it can sound a bit adventurous and over-the-top, it looks very natural and you hardly notice it. This is because it is the furthest you can get away from red and it compensates for characteristic asian deficiencies. Pick a dark almost-black green near the base of the eyelid and gradually blend upwards with a bright and refreshing shade to give a smokey yet naturally-glamorous appearance. If you really don't want to use green (or it won't match your outfit), then second-rate options are purple, blue, black and brown in that order, but these can be more noticeable so use them in lesser quantities.

Black eyeliner on the top eyelid will help define the eye, make it appear larger and visually compensate for short sparse eyelashes. This is particularly effective if you are one of those lucky asians with double eyelids. If not, do it anyway because it is still noticeable when you close your eyes.

White eyeliner on the bottom eyelid reflects the light upwards to make your eyes appear larger and give a cleaner appearance. Pick one that is slightly shimmery, like the inside of an oyster shell. Avoid any dark eyeliner on the bottom eyelid as this looks messy and makes your eyes look smaller.

Finally, curl your eyelashes before applying lengthening mascara. Asians tend to have short eyelashes that droop, so not only will this make your eyelashes look longer, but will stop them from obstructing your vision.

This should be enough to inflict yellow fever upon all the guys!
