| Relationships : Love This is the sort of question that gets sent into sites like Tell Me How all the time: "How can I get my boyfriend or girlfriend to fall in love with me" Or "I'm not sure if my boyfriend really likes me but I really like him so how can I get him to fall for me?" The fact is that there is NO answer to this question, or more precisely the answer is "you can't make someone fall in love with you". As painful as that may be and particularly so when you are young or in your first love and have intense feelings for someone else - or even later in life when the passion is one sided, it can seem the most natural question in the world to ask and to think that you can get someone to fall for you. But that is the wonderful and saddest thing about love all at once, it is something that you simply can't make another do, it is either something that they feel and develop over time or it is not. So rather than losing sleep over this question and trying to make someone fall for you just realise that they can't be made to fall in love with you, however upsetting that may seem the quicker you appreciate that fundamental fact of life the better!
