And air conditioning units are expensive, can be noisy, and also of course you need somewhere to output the hot air. So what can you do therefore? Well, here is something simple that you can do. Freeze a full set of ice cubes, and place them in a washing up bowl or other container. Now, place that container directly underneath the fan. Then as the ice starts to melt, the fan will blow the colder air around the room and act a bit like an air conditioning unit. Ingenious!
