How To Make Your Own Web Site

Computing : Web Sites

Making your own web site has never been easier.

Some years ago, the only real option was to learn HTML - the tags that demarcate how a page should be formatted - and then use something like Notepad or Word to write a web page.

Whilst some people still use this method, and a knowledge of HTML is beneficial for creating a site, the easiest way now is to use software that will create the formatting for you.

The simplest way is to use Word, which most PC users have, to design how you want your web page to look. Then, choose 'Save As' and pick HTML to save your Word document for the web. Then just upload to your web site using your preferred method, and that's it, all done!
