| Self Development : Stress If you want to make yourself happy, then you need to put yourself in a situation where you have time to focus and concentrate on your emotions and therefore give yourself the best chance of happiness. All that you need to do is sit in a nice chair or lie on the bed where you won't be disturbed and have some relative quiet. Then, close your eyes and slow your breathing right down. Spend a couple of minutes listening to all the sounds around you, then zone those out and think of things that make you happy for a few minutes. At the end of the five minutes you should feel refreshed and happy, with all those happy thoughts having been brought to the front of your mind.
