How To Manage A Web Design Project

Computing : Web Sites

If you are working on a slightly larger site, either for yourself, or even paid client work, then it can be a good idea to plan out the time you spend on the piece in an excel document.

This can be quite simple, but is still effective.

Simply spread out the time into the different sections of the project, e.g.:

- brainstorm session
- wireframe
- template design
- coding
- testing
- live

You can then colour code each aspect, or alternatively different resources / rate of charge

It's quick and simple, but very effective means of measuring time spent on a project and can help to produce effective quotes.
