Let's ripen a banana quickly. Wrap them in a wet paper towel, and place them into a brown paper bag next to a ripe banana. Or place an apple next to an unripe banana.

The finger banana will turn black when it is ripe.

Kiwis are a great source of Vit C. Two of these equals the fiber in one cup of bran flakes. Best to peel with a potato peeler for less waste. They will ripen faster in a brown paper bag, next to an apple or a banana.

Seventy percent of all produce is now being imported from third world countries. Just thought you’d like to know.



Listen carefully – E – Coli -----this deadly strain of bacteria is usually the result, of fecal contamination of meats during slaughtering and processing. However this strain is now showing up on vegetables, and fruits. Four outbreaks have been reported in lettuce alone.
