Mortgage Terms Explained: Capitalisation Rate

The capitalisation, or capitalization rate, refers to the percentage rate (estimated) of return a property will produce on the owner's investment.

In simple terms therefore it is a useful measure if how good an investment the owner made, in terms of the return they could expect to receive on their investment.
