By making that goal physical and real, on a piece of paper, you have taken the first step. Whether it is to drink less coffee or anything else, you have made that all important first step. The next step is to ensure that you do not go cold turkey - that is very hard to do and may well lead to failure. Rather try to cut down. For each week, reduce your intake by just one cup - a week. That means that if you currently have 15 cups a day just reduce by one each day each week. So after 5 weeks you will be down to 10 cups. Re-assess after a few weeks how things are going. Try to take it down to your target, and if you make it then great. If not, then you could try using your support network to help - friends and family are excellent methods of getting extra motivation and help.
