| Jobs : Successful Job Search Interview Process Now, first impressions are indeed important. As such, you should prepare well for the interview. It is rare for a formal interview to be in anything other than casual dress - therefore unless specifically told otherwise, for any 'serious' job you should always go stressed smartly and in a business suit, with shirt and tie, or the equivalent for women - though you don't necessarily have to wear a skirt, smart business dress with trousers will do.
