Part 1d: Combating Interview Nerves

Jobs : Successful Job Search Interview Process

It's an interview. You are going to be nervous.

However, on arrival at the venue and when seeing other candidates, some people have a sudden attack of the nerves. You may think something like "All the other candidates seem so much more confident and well qualified - why am I even going for the job?"

All you have to do is, if possible, find the toilet and go in there quietly for a minute to recompose yourself.

There, or outside the interview, sit quietly for a minute, focussing straight ahead with your eyes, and make your shoulders drop and completely let go of your arms.

Take some deep breaths at the same time, filling your lungs with air then gently letting go.
