Part 2a: Job Applications, Introduction
Jobs : Successful Job Search CV Covering Letter And Exams Applying for jobs invariably takes the form of writing to the company, including a covering letter and your CV. Hence this is what we shall now look at. The CV is of course the main item to be considered when it comes to the application, and as such needs to be looked at first: You should always send a CV, unless an EAF (Employer Application Form) is required. If this is the case, then it will say so in the literature or the advert. If in doubt phone up and check - so as not to waste their time, or yours. If you did need to send an EAF then there is usually no need to send a covering letter as well - the EAF is specifically designed by the employer to collect all the information they need to know to find out whether you are suitable for interview or not. If they need a covering letter as well they should say, and similarly with your CV.
