Part 2l: Interview Mistakes: Losing Your Cool

Jobs : Successful Job Search Interview Process

A final problem that can scupper your chances is you losing your cool.

In several interviews, particularly those highly competitive, highly salaried, or highly sought after jobs, you will deliberately be asked tough probing questions to see how you cope with the presue.

Many people blow under the pressure of this.

If you do react, do so in a dignified manner, and this way you will not regret it afterwards.

The bottom line is: if you are deliberately made to wait for a fair time, or interrupted rudely or questioned aggressively, then you have two options: put up with it if you really really want the job and are prepared to work under those conditions, or say something about it and complain in a dignified manner, knowing that this is not a company that you want to work for.
