Part 5h: Logic Test A: Ordering Jumbled Sentences
Jobs : Successful Job Search CV Covering Letter And Exams As well as psychometric tests and mathematical tests, there may also be logical reasoning tests. These often take two forms. The first is where you are given a paragraph of text - say four or five sentences, which are in jumbled order. You are then asked to sort them into the correct order. These can be tricky at first, but get easier with practice. To solve them you should look for clues to the chronological order - centuries may be referred to. Pronouns may be used that refer to nouns in previous sentences. Conjunctions and joining structures may be used that only make sense one way round. You will get used to picking this up with practice. When you have the sentences in the order you suspect is correct, do read through them. Make sure that the time order you end up with makes sense. Make sure that all vague terms have a specific reference to something earlier in the text, and that all pronouns have been given an earlier reference.
