Pensions: Capital Unit And Initial Unit

Money : Saving

Pensions are complicated but critically important.

The personal pension is becoming more and more important in countries like the UK after the Labour party in power since the late 90's has systematically destroyed the pension system for everyone but their own public sector workers.

Pension jargon abounds, and it can be difficult to see the charges, the penalties and basically what happens at particular periods of your career and the life of the pension.

One question to ask is if there is a capital unit or initial unit structure. This is a form of commission taken up front on a policy.

You want the answer to be 'no' to ensure that this initial earnings period does not exist.
