You'll know that those plastic lids can be just awfully hard to pierce and get into, as is required for most meals. So, how to do it short of wasting a knife? Well, I have found that the following works wonders: Simply use a corn on the cob holder. It's sharp enough to pierce the top of the ready to cook meals and works an absolute treat!
