How To Plan An Essay

Education : Essays

Do your research and write down all the key facts you need to mention.

Write short notes on what you need to include in your introduction. Important method to remember is to include what, where, when and who.

The rest of your essay will then go on to describe how and why.

Jot down any quotes you need to use to back your points up, or alternatively highlight them in the book with a marker, or pencil if you need to return it. Dont forget to rub the lines out after you've finished writing your essay.

You will need to plan your paragraphs for the main section now. Try to work in a chronological or logical order and link each section to the next. This will really impress examiners and make your work flow well. Always back each point up with a quote and explain why.

For your conclusion, you will need to draw in everything you have mentioned in your work. Keep it short but really sum up your argument your evidence has provided, and make your readers satisfied with your text.
