Play Fillomino
| Games : Puzzles Fillomino is another grid based puzzle game that originates from Japan. It offers a fun new mental challenge, if you are getting fed up of the likes of sudoku and kakuro then why not try some fillomino puzzles? The rules are simple. The grid starts with some numbers placed on some cells and others are empty. What you need to do to complete the puzzle is to create boxed areas of numbers, equivalent to the number stated in each cell. For instance, if the top left cell has a '5' in for instance, it means that you need to encase 5 cells in a box, with each cell in that box being adjacent vertically or horizontally to the preceding square. Each cell in that block is then filled with the same number - in this case '5'. To make the game possible and add the challenge, blocks with the same number in cannot touch horizontally or vertically. Thus all the cells that touch the perimeter of our '5' block must have different values in. The difficulty of a puzzle is determined in part by grid size (more possiblities and longer to complete) but mainly by the number and placement of the given starting numbers.
