Even if you keep it up for the one date, it will be impossible to do so for long. Desperate to impress, people often fall into that trap, but over time it just won't work. Rather, be yourself. Of course, dress to impress, but don't try to wear anything too controversial - for instance show off your bizarre dress sense.
