Once shredded, don't put the paper into your wheelie bin to add to landfill but mix it well in with your compost as the paper will break down easily over time. Flowers and vegetables in your garden can therefore benefit from junk mail! If you haven't a garden put the shredded paper into your green collection for the local authority to recycle if they will accept it.
