How To Promote Your Podcast

How to promote it? Well, if you have an existing website with traffic, then the first step is to link prominently to the new section of your site. Advertise it with text ads on other pages of your site. Then there is the obvious offline marketing - tell all your friends and family. Add a line to the signature of your email so that everyone you email finds out about it. In terms of online marketing, the best thing to do is to get yourself listed in podcasting directories. The main one to get listed in is Apple iTunes (apple.com/itunes) After that, consider location specific directories - for instance Britcaster in the UK. By getting listed in the online directories you greatly increase the chance of getting traffic to your site.
