How To Protect Your Dog On Halloween
| Miscellaneous Lots of people tend to do pranks during Halloween such as throwing eggs or putting stink bombs through your letter box. If you have a dog, this is not an ideal situation so here is how to protect him/her from harm. Keep your dog inside and leave any sweets and chocolate out of reach as these are poisonous to them. When you open the door to trick or treaters, make sure your dog is in another room and cant get out the front door. Maybe use a baby gate or teach your dog commands to stay where it is when people come to the door. Find out if your dog is nervous around weird costumes before the actual night, and if this is the case, maybe keep them upstairs or right away from the front of the house to be on the safe side. Make sure your dog has had all the latest vaccinations it needs, and that it has an up to date ID tag in case it goes missing. Keep some dog treats to hand so he/she doesn’t feel like they’re missing out on all the fun.
