How To Read Maths Co-ordinates

Education : Maths

A typical set of co-ordinates will look like this:

(5, 2) or perhaps (-5, -2)

How to interpret these?

It's easy. The first number always tells you how far to go right or left. 5 means go right 5 on the grid, and -5 means go left 5 on the grid.

The second number is up and down.
2 means go up 2, and -2 means go down 2.
