How To Relieve Backache

Health And Fitness : Top Health Tips

Backaches are caused by deep seated emotional problems, poor posture, improper foot wear, walking habits, sleeping on too soft of mattress, slouching, improper lifting. Just to name a few. The deep seated ones, can be psyhological.

Aches and pains in the lower back can be a chronic problem.

Kidney and bladder problems can also cause backaches.

Other causes such as artritis, rheumatisim, bone disease, slipped disc, and curvature of the spine.

If pain is persistant for more than three days, seek medical
attention. Or if it radiates into the legs.

Avoid all meats or animal protein until healed. This is due to the uric acid content.

Good back exercisies include swimming, cycling, rowing, and walking.

Lift with the legs, arms, and abdomen. Never with the small muscles of the back.

Never lift more than 20 lbs.

Squat down to work at lower levels.

Absolutely no bending at the waist.

Do not sleep on stomach.

Sleep on a firm mattress with knees bent, and head supported on a pillow.

Bottom line. A lack of exercise could be the biggest culprit here.

BUT NEVER LEAN FORWARD WITHOUT BENDING THOSE KNEES!
