How To Remain Positive During Job Search

Depending on your qualifications, the sector you want to work in and the market at the time, there may be a glut or precious few jobs that you're interested in. And if it's the latter then this means more people apply, more competition, and the less chance you have of getting said job. It can be hard having knock backs and few interviews to attend when money is running out to pay the mortgage inparticular. Therefore what you should do to remain positive is be as pro-active as you can - ring around friends and family and see if they know of anything that might interest you, and most of all network with your friends or former colleagues where you've worked - quite often they will hear about jobs that aren't even advertised externally yet and may be able to get you a foot in the door, so to speak. Remember that the job search can be long and hard, so try to stay focused on the goal and know that if you work hard then you will get your reward in time.
